From April 4th ~ April 14th, we finally had the opportunity to visit the University of North Sumatra (USU) in person to see the progress of the pyrolysis project and strategize further activities.
We are thrilled to report that the USU has made tremendous progress towards achieving the project goals. The administration and students have shown a remarkable commitment to the success of the project, and their technical, financial, and social understanding of the machine and overall objectives are not only deep, but also exceeded our expectations with their own ideas and ambitions. We are truly inspired by their enthusiasm and ownership of the project. It not only instills confidence in the continued sustainability of the project, but also motivates us to do even more.
Some of the highlights of our visit include:
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the University Director to continue developing the program at USU
The signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Engineering Department and Environmental Engineering Faculty for the project.
The USU environmental engineering students have established a group called "Plastik Wise" dedicated to operating and maintaining the machine, as well as spreading awareness and initiating waste separation and collection activities on campus.
We cannot express enough how impressed we are with the level of commitment and ownership demonstrated by USU, particularly by the students. EWC is very fortunate to have such a great partner in developing the pyrolysis system. We are confident that we can perfect the system and promotion activities to prove its effectiveness and expand beyond the campus to Medan city, the rest of Indonesia, and even the world.
Again, we are proud of the progress made so far and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with USU. We look forward to continuing our partnership and building on the progress to achievw even greater success in the future.
