In 2018 alone, we produced 359 million tons of plastic world wide, and the amount is growing every year.
Single-use plastic accounts for almost 1/2 of the plastic produced. Less than 9% of waste plastic is recycled.
Unrecycled plastic leaches chemicals into landfills and groundwater, litters beaches, clogs sewers, and poisons our food (and us)!
We make too much, we use too much, and we throw it all away.
All of that waste ends up somewhere.
“There is no such thing as away.” — Annie Leonard
With the right technology and incentives, waste plastic can become a valuable and abundant resource.
Plastics are made from petroleum. Pyrolysis is a process that returns plastics back into an oil-like state to create diesel, kerosene, and other useful products.
Compared with conventional recycling, pyrolysis allows plastic to be turned into products more quickly, and locally. The fuel is valuable and can be used to fund other social and environmental programs.
Pyrolysis is a process that safely turns plastic waste into fuel.
It not only eliminates plastic from the environment,
it provides energy, jobs, and can fund other social and environmental programs.
In environmental protection, knowledge really is power.
We work with local residents, governments, and other stakeholders to provide knowledge, tools and incentives to reduce plastic pollution and protect communities.
Revenue from fuel will be used by communities to fund programs that further empower themselves; such as, eco-library, health insurance, cultural preservation, and more.
Because good things happen when the community takes charge.

This is it! The long awaited training program that will allow us to finally turn plastic waste into valuable resources for the community was held July 25th ~ 29th at the University of North Sumatra campus in Medan, Indonesia.
